farmers markets on saturday morning (alemany). great selection of organic veggies/fruits, cheap too. many vendors have $1/bunch veggies.
The first way of saving on organic is growing our own garden. I don’t have the greenenst thumb, but if I can keep it alive, the better. =) What I think I would pay for at a grocery store, I try and put it into a savings account. A $1 saved is a $1 earned. What I can’t grow, I try and find the rare coupons.
i save on groceries by using the weekly ads.

Would love a copy of your book!! Awesome! I’m organic
Clueless!
I go to farmers market especially during the summer because it doubles as free entertainment for the kids all the samples and they get to decide which tastes best and that’s what we buy!!
I save on groceries by buying things in bulk (except fresh food).
Following you on Twitter now, and just retweeted that.

Congrats on the book!
I plan menues, buy ahead and use local farmers, smaller grocers who by local and visit the roadside stands. Make a menu based on my full freezer and local ads, then a shopping list and follow it! Hunting online for how to make something from scratch lets me make it lots healthier most of the time, and always cheaper.
I make a list to stop impulse purchases (peanut m&ms. Seriously.)

I’ve only gotten one bountiful basket so far, but I’m really impressed. Waaaay cheaper than getting produce anywhere else (unless you grow it yourself…and things like mangoes don’t actually grow on trees here!).

Buy fruit and vegetables that are in season from local/neighborhood produce markets. These markets usually also carry bulk grains, nuts, and seeds that are cheaper than supermarkets.
I’ve also been finding great organic eggs, milk, olive oil, veggies at reasonable prices at Costco. =)
Followed you on twitter!
For bulk dry goods and herbs I shop at the large Asian food markets near me – they sell all the products I usually need (ginger, garlic, tofu, rice flour) I need at a much better price than American markets.
For organic produce, I stick to farmer’s markets and my local health food store.
I try to follow several budget blogs for good deals on groceries and coupons.

I save on groceries by looking for sales and shopping as infrequently as I can. My husband and I have just started buying in bulk and doing freezer cooking. We are also trying to start couponing.
Farmer’s market is the way to save on produce.

We eat organic on the cheap by shopping at the farm stand down the road from our house. All veggies are $1 a bag! An amazing deal!
I love to go to the local produce market that sells super fresh fruits and vegetables for usually 1/2 the cost of the major chains! I wish I had a yard to grow a garden, but I’m considering starting to grow greens (parsley, basil, etc) in pots in my apartment (I did this with another roommate for two years!). I also like to watch for deals in the Sunday papers because sometimes the big chains will have great deals, you just need to be willing to pick through what’s left once you get to the store!

I tweeted about your contest! Only a few hours left though!
I also liked you on FB! Actually, I subscribe to your RSS feed and LOVE your articles! Congrats on writing your first book!
Thanks, Jenna!
I follow you on fb. I thought of another thing I do. I have a small garden in my back yard. It’s really very small. It is 3′x12. I have 4 tomatoe plants a coue of pepper plants and lots of herbs between the other plants. I put hoops over it in late fall through spring for salad stuff and a few things like radishes, turnips etc.
