My ebook, Eating Organic on a Budget is now available on Amazon.

It’s currently on Amazon’s Best Sellers list:

#27 in Organic Cooking in Books (omg!)

#33 in Natural Foods in Kindle

#32 in Cooking, Food, & Wine: Reference

These stats change on a daily basis.

I still can’t believe that my book is on Amazon!

And it’s in the top 50 in these categories.

It feels unreal.

When I first launched my book, the sales were dismal. I was a little disappointed at first.

But then I was able to get it onto Money Saving Mom’s blog, one of the most popular frugal living blogs and that gave me a boost in confidence. And I still can’t believe she helped me out! Thanks, Crystal!

A lot of other blogs that I contacted don’t even bother to respond. =(

And now, my book is starting to rank on Amazon’s Best Seller’s lists in certain categories.

Part of me wishes I put my ebook out exclusively on Amazon Kindle as part of the Kindle Direct Publishing Select program. That way I could take advantage of having my book available for free for up to 5 days.

That’s why you keep seeing free ebooks available on this blog, because having your ebook free is a great marketing technique. It boosts your “sales”, although you don’t earn money on those free days. Your book gets mentioned in a lot of blogs and sites.

And it helps you get a better ranking on Amazon’s Top 100 books list, which will help sell your book long after the free days are over.

When you join the KDP Select program, you aren’t allowed to sell your books elsewhere for 3 months, other than on Amazon. There are pros and cons to this.

If you don’t join the KDP Select program, you can’t sell your book for free. They don’t allow you to.

Anyway, I’ve been working hard at promoting Eating Organic on a Budget and I must say that writing it was the easy part. Promoting it is the hard part.

I submitted a coupon for my book on AllYou.com and I’m waiting to see if they will add it to their site come September.

If you’ve ever wanted to write a book, now is the time! Don’t let being busy or having kids be an excuse because I did it and I’m a stay at home/work at home mom.

I went from being laid off twice in a row to writing a book. Don’t let tough times keep you down.

Self publishing a book or even an ebook is easy nowadays! And you can get an ebook uploaded onto Amazon in a day.

If you need tips on how to self publish, feel free to email me at fanny[at]livingrichlyonabudget.com. I’d be happy to help or point you in the right direction.

I say go for it! Whatever you want to accomplish in life, do it now! You may regret it if you don’t.

Check out my ebook Eating Organic on a Budget for inspiration. The more people who buy it on Amazon, the more my book will rise in the rankings. Thank you for your support!
