Make Money with Restaurant Gift Cards
Have you been gifted with restaurant gift cards or certificates over the holidays? But don’t plan on using them? What do you do?
I have a crazy idea. Sell them on eBay! Did you know that there’s a huge market for buying restaurant gift cards on eBay?
People are willing to bid very close to the amount that the gift card is worth. For example, for a $25 restaurant gift card, they will bid up to $23 for it! I guess people are looking to save a few bucks, even if it’s $2 – $3.
Search for restaurant gift cards on eBay and you’ll see what I mean.
eBay Listing Tips:
1. Have a good title. In the listing title, include the restaurant name and the phrase “gift card or certificate”.
2. Offer free shipping. Gift cards or certificates are lightweight. It should only take a first class stamp to mail out. Free shipping will be an extra incentive for someone to buy your restaurant gift card.
3. Include a photo. Having a photo of the gift card in the eBay listing increases the buyer’s trust and perhaps bid price.
