But don&#8217;t plan on using them? What do you do?</p>
<p>I have a crazy idea. Sell them on eBay! Did you know that there&#8217;s a huge market for buying restaurant gift cards on eBay?</p>
<p>People are willing to bid very close to the amount that the gift card is worth. For example, for a $25 restaurant gift card, they will bid up to $23 for it! I guess people are looking to save a few bucks, even if it&#8217;s $2 &#8211; $3.</p>
<p>Search for <strong><a href="http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=9&amp;pub=5574748640&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5336504675&amp;customid=&amp;icep_uq=restaurant+gift+cards&amp;icep_sellerId=&amp;icep_ex_kw=&amp;icep_sortBy=12&amp;icep_catId=31411&amp;icep_minPrice=&amp;icep_maxPrice=&amp;ipn=psmain&amp;icep_vectorid=229466&amp;kwid=902099&amp;mtid=824&amp;kw=lg" target="_blank">restaurant gift cards on eBay</a><img style="text-decoration: none; border: 0; padding: 0; margin: 0;" src="http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=9&amp;pub=5574748640&amp;toolid=10001&amp;campid=5336504675&amp;customid=&amp;uq=restaurant+gift+cards&amp;mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]" alt="" /></strong> and you&#8217;ll see what I mean.</p>
<p><img class="alignright" title="restaurant gift card" src="../wp-content/uploads/2010/01/gift-card.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="253" /></p>
<p><strong>eBay Listing Tips:</strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Have a good title. </strong>In the listing title, include the restaurant name and the phrase &#8220;gift card or certificate&#8221;.</p>
<p><strong>2. Offer free shipping. </strong>Gift cards or certificates are lightweight. It should only take a first class stamp to mail out. Free shipping will be an extra incentive for someone to buy your restaurant gift card.</p>
<p><strong>3. Include a photo.</strong> Having a photo of the gift card in the eBay listing increases the buyer&#8217;s trust and perhaps bid price.</p>
