Do I need a matcha whisk?

A matcha whisk helps, but you can use a metal whisk as well.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Whisk matcha powder and milk.
  2. Pour into a bowl of hot, cooked oatmeal.
  3. Add soymilk a little at a time to get the right consistency.
  4. Add maple syrup to sweeten.
  5. Sprinkle with sliced almonds and berries.

In the video, I added water but you can skip the water and whisk with soymilk or milk instead so that the oatmeal doesn’t turn out too watery.

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1 tablespoon soy milk or milk
  • 1 cup oatmeal cooked and heated
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup blackberries optional

Instructions
 

  • Whisk matcha powder and soy milk or milk together for about 10-20 seconds until a smooth paste forms.
  • Pour the matcha paste into a bowl of hot, cooked oatmeal. Add soy milk or milk, a little at a time, until you get the consistency that you want.
  • Pour in the maple syrup, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it is to your desired sweetness.
  • Sprinkle matcha oatmeal with sliced almonds and blackberries. Mix and serve.
